Recipe: Fluffy American Pancakes

Hey my lovelies, here is part 2 of my short pancake series and todays recipe is ...... Fluffy American Pancakes. The previous pancake recipe can be found here, which is lactose-free pancakes.

Ingredients
135g of plain flower
1/2 tsp of salt
130ml of milk
1 tsp of baking powder
2 tbsp of caster sugar
2 tbsp of melted butter
1 large egg

Recipe
First, sift the flour, baking powder, salt and caster sugar into a large bowl. Secondly, in a seperate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk, then add in the melted butter and whisk again. Thirdly, pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture, and using a whisk, beat until you have a smooth batter. Then leave the batter for 5 minutes. Whilst you are letting the batter stand for a few minutes, heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and add some butter, when it has melted add the pancake mixture to size you want it. Next wait until the top of the pancake begins to bubble, then move the pan of the gas mark and flip the pancake, then you can move your pancake back onto the gas mark and cook until both sides are a golden brown and the pancake should rise until it is around half an inch thick. Then you have your pancake. You can repeat this procedure until you have used up all of your batter.

The next recipe will be chocolate pancakes.
